A List of Landon Facts

1) Landon cannot say any F sounds. For example, "off" comes out like "oss". So...take my shoes oss, my shirt oss, etc. Face = sace. My favorite is: "This is Sun!" For "This is fun!" Or...you are so sunny mommy!
2) My son is way too smart. This morning he asked me what a mark on the wall was. I told him it was where something had hit the wall and dented it. He then informed me that it was the cupboard door that hit the wall and dented it...he was right. Perhaps he knew the right answer bc he did it...or perhaps because he is just very good at deductive reasoning. Lets hope for the latter.
3) Landon was not the only boy I kissed on the beach the other night. In fact, he got a little smooch...but his daddy got a nice, big long kiss. In fact, he got a lot of them because our photographer just couldn't get the right shot (or something like that). I think it was all a big lie just so that Daddy could get Mommy to kiss him...over and over and over
4) Landon has taken to calling me by my first name on occasion. It sounds like Kwissen. He says it so cute that it almost makes me sad that I have to tell him that to him, I am Mommy...not Kwissen.
5) My sister-in-law redecorated my house yesterday. Considering that she is amazing at everything that involves art, this was a very good thing. She came in, rearranged my decorations, and added some much needed fueng shui in my house.
6) We were supposed to go to the beach with my two sister-in-laws and my two nieces yesterday. I made the mistake of telling Landon when he woke up. He was SO excited all morning. By 11:30 when I was packing our picnic lunch I happened to look outside...it was raining. So I had to break it to my two year old that we could not go the beach bc the weather was bad. He was devastated and all day kept telling me, "Its not raining anymore..lets go to the beach!" Too bad it was cool all day. We went today instead and he had the time of his life. It was still a bit cool...but I let him play in the water any way. The waves were huge today so every time one would come he would scream in delight and smile with every fiber of his being. I love to see him delighting in creation...trying new things...having so much fun.
7) My dad and step-mom adopted a little girl from Guatemala about a year ago. Technically, this makes her my sister. So last weekend, I had the privilege of introducing Landon to his Aunt Maria...who happens to be a little over a year YOUNGER than him. Very interesting...If anyone ever wants to be completely confused by someone's family just ask me how many step, halfs and real siblings I have...I promise it will be a nice long conversation. I will say, however, that Maria has a wonderful home now and seems to be doing very well.
8) Last night Landon was outside driving his little car down the road. When he got to the end of the cul-de-sac (where the big community circle is) he decided he had to go potty really badly and so, pulled down his pants. Meanwhile he was yelling...Mommy, I have to go potty really bad!" I heard him (and mind you that about three other families were outside at this time) and started yelling for him to wait. I took off like a crazy woman, grabbed him (pants down and everything), got him to our yard just as the waterfall began. So between the neighbor and the Gap sticker story and now this...who knows what people in this neighborhood think of us  By the way...the GAP sticker neighbor is pregnant...15 weeks. So hopefully in about a year she will have some embarrassing mommy moment.
9) Have I mentioned lately that I just love having Landon as my son. I am continually humbled and in awe at the blessing that this little guy has brought to our lives. Have a great weekend everyone!
10) Tonight on the way home from the pizza shop a car tried to make a left turn when there was no left turn...Landon then asked, "What happened, Mommy!" Not knowing how to explain that to a 2 year old I said, "Someone made a mistake." To which he replied very excitedly, "Someone is making a cake...for Mommy, Daddy and Landon!!!" Clearly he does not understand the difference between a mistake and a cake .
11) Tonight I was weeding a 10 ft section of our landscaping. Landon decided that he wanted to "mow" the same area with his play mower. So he "mowed" a 10ft area for like 30 minutes...kids are so crazy. He kept saying how good he mowed just like daddy...he really thought he was "mowing."
