A Successful Move
We did it...the big move. We took the crib down and moved Landon to his new "Big Boy Room." To be honest, he did a lot better than I did. It was kind of a difficult transition for me because it seems like Jonathan was just putting the crib together, and now, somehow two and half years have passed and the little baby that we bought the crib for, no longer exists...he is a, as he puts it, a
Big Huge Boy! Anyway, he did wonderful in his new bed. He has not tried to escape or had a hard time going to sleep and has slept through the night just as he was before the move. We are thrilled.
Other big news...I tried for three days to bring the pumpkin chocolate chip bread to my neighbor...she was never home and then I decided that giving them three-day old bread would not be a good impression and decided that we would just eat it. Just after we enjoyed the dessert with coffee I went outside for something and saw that they were home...ironic? So, she probably still thinks I am a bit weird, but maybe this is good for me.
My only potting training story is simply that I don't know what to do! If I put a diaper or pull ups OR even regular underwear on him, he goes in it. If, however, I let him run around completely naked, he usually tells me and goes on the toilet. The problem is that he cannot be naked when other people are here and I obviously cannot take him out in public naked...so I feel like I am confusing him bc I put a diaper on him for those events. Is he just not ready? Any advice would be great bc I don't have a clue what I am doing...
Landon helps me unload the dishwasher everyday. He also helps with the laundry...and mopping and dusting and pretty much any household task...he loves to "Belp." It is so cute...and I wish he would always stay this way. When he helps me fold the laundry, he puts on daddy's socks EVERY TIME and often Jon's underwear too ...it is really adorable how he wants to be just like his daddy.
Speaking of daddy...Landon made another huge transition this weekend. For some reason, he has stopped calling Jon and I "Mama" and "Dada" which he has called us for his ENTIRE life. It is now, "Mommy" and "Daddy." It is really cute, but it sounds more grown up, and right now I just love him the way he is...I don't want anymore growing up!
