A Get Together With Friends 10-2-06

A Get Together With Friends

Saturday evening we had four of my girlfriends from high school and their husbands up for the evening. We went to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner and then came back to our house and played games and had caramel apples and pumpkin chocolate chip bread and hot apple cider. It was so much fun! I can't believe that after all these years us girls are still able to share in almost the exact same ways that we did back in the day  Plus, our husbands had a great time together. How often does that happen?? It was a great Saturday night.
My parents kept Landon Sat and Sunday for us since we had the big get-together. Sunday I ate Panera broccoli cheddar soup for lunch and begged Jonathan to take me back for dinner too bc it was THAT good. Another craving...Asian Sesame Chicken Salad...yumm!!! Both go down great and stay down...hooray! Other than those outings, we had a nice quiet day at home reminiscing about what our life was like before we had Landon. It certainly was different! It was good to have him home last night though! He had such a wonderful time with Grandma and Papa, and it brings joy to our hearts to know that he had so much fun. Plus I think he needed to do something different since every day has been the same with me. Poor Kid!
Wednesday through Friday I go to my mom's for a garage sale. Should be fun...and nice to have a little help with Landon. And to not have to cook...or clean...or make meals for Landon...
Our esgrow company messed up big time and recently sent us a very large bill of which we were totally unprepared for. My husband jumped on it...got a meeting scheduled with the banker who ran our mortgage and the realtor and now, as a result of his hard work, those people are working for us to have the bill reduced since NONE of it was our fault. I am really proud of him and very thankful for his financial astuteness  But I am still mad that we may have to pay at all for some guys lack of ability to run numbers correctly.
Well...that is about it for now. Hope you are all doing well!
