Strength in the Body 2-27-07

Stength in the Body

Hey friends!
Just wanted to update you quickly that I made it through the test this morning! I want to sincerely thank you for your prayers and encouragement...I literally felt the strength of the Lord this morning. About 20 minutes after drinking the liquid I felt a little sick, but that was it and the rest of the test went SO smoothly! I was starving by the time I got home at 11:15, but after some oatmeal and a little later a grilled chicken sandwich...I felt great. I have no idea of the results, and I don't think I will for awhile, but honestly, I am just so glad that this test is behind me, I don't even care that much how it turns out. Other than that week in Virginia, positive results won't really afftect my life that terribly much. So I am hoping for the best, but just relishing in the fact that the test is OVER!
My sister Kelly is pregnant and due in August. Her ultrasound is Tuesday and I am SO SO SO excited to find out what she is having. I have been thinking girl, but the heartbeat was low...so we shall see in just one week! How exciting!
My dear friend Hannah sent me a beautiful little beanie hat, bib and booties for our soon to be addition....all of the way from Australia!!! She also sent the most adorable book which Landon has totally claimed as his own. In fact, we just got it yesterday and he has already memorized it. Thank you Hannah! When the baby comes...I will post a picture of these adorable items!!!
This weekend Jonathan and I cleaned out our entire walk-in closet (a whole day job) and the downstairs storage room, and then decided to completely rearrange our bedroom. We love it so much better, and are thinking that perhaps there really is something to that whole feng shui thing  We have so many projects that we want to conquer before the baby comes and it felt good to tackle a few of them. We also went to Home Depot to finalize paint selection. We decided on a beautiful yellow, but didn't buy it yet...and then last night Jonathan said he wasn't so sure anymore...so I guess it is back to the drawing board. I am ready to just have it done!  It is not easy to look at paint swatches for an hour while your three year old tries to entertain himself...at one point he was laying on the floor of the store on top of our coats eating fruit snacks. Oh well...at least he was being good
Ok, I need to make dinner. Off to make chicken caesar salads...
