Ok, so in an increasingly technological world, sometimes you have to tell a little white lie in an effort to surprise those really close to you. Yes, I fell prey to this deception...we have known for over a week what we are expecting! We found out Monday, December 18 at 9 am that we have a beautiful healthy little baby growing inside. We praise the Lord for this news and give Him all of the glory! We told everyone the that the ultrasound was December 27 so that we could surprise our families on Christmas morning with the wonderful news of their newest grandchild (I really do have a doctors appointment today, so it was not total deception

).
Ok, so I know at this point you are all dying (yeah...as though this piece of news is actually going to affect any of you in a personal way...but still you want to know, right?

), so I will cut the suspense and let you in on our little secret....

Contrary to popular opinion and in accordance with these sweet blue and green colors I am so proud to announce the making of a beautiful little boy! Jonathan and I both went into this ultrasound almost convinced it was a girl considering how I craved different foods, was carrying different, and (besides the sickness) just had a different experience with this pregnancy. But we were wrong and have come to greatly anticipate the birth of our second son. I have to say that growing up, I never imagined having boys. I was a girly girl (who also liked to climb trees and play in the mud), but now that I find myself expecting another little boy, I am very excited about having two boys who will have eachother as brothers for life. When the baby is older we are going to get the boys bunk beds and Jonathan is already excited about going paintballing and camping and fishing with his sons. I, on the other hand, am feeling like the princess of the family...the only girl among three boys. To be honest, I am humbled by the responsibility laid before us. We are getting an awesome responsibility to raise to strong, honest, respectful, Godly men that will make a difference in this world. What a job!
The top picture is of the littly guy with all of this legs and arms and head packed into the picture (head on right). the second pictuers is of him sucking his thumb, you can see all five fingers so clearly (we have another big foot/hand boy!) Surprisingly, this baby boy does not look as much like Jonathan and Landon as he does me. He seems to have Landon's button nose, but other than that...maybe, just maybe this one may look a little like me? It will be so much fun to have two boys made from us, but that have differences and uniqueness to their apperances and personalities!
So there you are, we are having a boy. I will be honest with you, (because I have to be) I still pray that one day I will have a daughter. But unless and until that day, I am so excited and content and happy with all that the Lord has blessed us with. He has knit this child together and blessed us with two beautiful boys,
