Groups 3-6-07

Groups...and What My Sister is Having (Don't Read if She Hasn't Told You Yet!)

First, I will say thank you so much for your ideas about the group. They really did help and I appreciate so much that I can post something on here and get real, helpful ideas back that help my rotting brain to think in a different direction  I just got off the phone with a very nice lady from a HUGE retirement home in the area and as of TONIGHT I am beginning a support group for people dealing with caring for disabled or dying family members. I am a little nervous, but SO relieved that the planning is done and I found something. Plus, my grandparents are older and have some health issues and I am sure that the info I gain will be a help to my mom. Stress about that...over...for now.
Ok, so now the big news. My sister Kelly is having a baby in August and she had her ultrasound today. She is having a .......GIRL!!!! She is so excited and I am so happy for her! My whole family will make a trek to Florida in August to see my new niece and shower her in pretty pink presents!!! Plus, I am planning a shower for Kelly in April (she is coming up here for this) and now I can go all out with pink pink pink. So exciting! Congratulations dear sister...I am SO happy for you!!!
We had small group last night. I really enjoy it and Landon has so much fun with the kids that he cries everytime we have to leave. And last night was no different...he cried and cried when we had to leave. I held him while trying to calm him down (probably for too long...34 pounds didn't use to seem like that much) and for the rest of the night my belly hurt. No contractions, but something down there around the baby was not happy with me. When I was saying prayers with Landon something else happened...totally freaked me out. Thirty weeks is too early to have this baby! I am so relieved that nothing else has occurred and I have no pain this morning. I go to the doctor tomorrow and will be relieved to get a good report. Guess I learned a valuable, albeit somewhat sad lesson...no more holding my first baby for extended periods of time until baby number two makes its entrance.
Off to set up a "fort" (blankets draped over furniture) for my firstborn. Have a great day ladies...and thanks again!
