My Baby is Turning Three and Beanie has a Heartbeat 10-26-06

My Baby Is Turning Three and My Beanie has a Heartbeat

First things first....I went to the doctor today. I had never met my new doctor and I just have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE her. She was so reassuring, talkative, and fun! She gave me some new vitamins to help with the nausea and wrote me a prescription for Zofran which I took when I was in labor with Landon and unceasingly puking. The catch is that they cost $600 for 12...yes....TWELVE pills. So...we have to see if our insurance will cover it...if not, then obviously no zofran...but I am hopeful. But the best news of all was that within SECONDS of putting the doppler on my belly we heard the most beautiful sound...the thump thump of a little tiny heart beating very fast. The baby moved soon after the doppler hit him/her, so then we had find it again, and there she stayed. Beatuiful. The doctor said if she had to guess from the heartbeat, she would say I have a girl in there...and then she assured me that she was correct 50% of the time  It is so much fun guessing. I just have to say that hearing that little heart in there...wow! Everything looks great and I am so thankful for the beautiful miracle growing inside of me. Today he/she became a much more real part of my life. And I love him/her so much!
Landon Baby 1In other news...my #1 baby is turning THREE tomorrow. I cannot believe it. It feels like yesterday that my water broke (which was three years ago TONIGHT) and we were off to the hospital. I cannot believe that I have only known Landon for three years. It feels like a lifetime...mainly bc I can hardly imagine my life without him in it. He was such a surprise...such a blessing...such a miracle. No amount of years that pass will ever erase from my memory the moment I first saw my baby boy...first held him in my arms...felt his beautiful skin. Miraculous!
Tomorrow I am hosting a train party for him. He is beyond excited! I am making a 3-D train cake, I have Thomas cake plates and napkins and he is ecstatic about the possibility of balloons...not to mention presents. I think this is the first birthday he will actually remember...and I am sure he will love it. I can't wait!
