Green Eyed Monster in My Mouth 10-12-06

A Green Monster in My Mouth

Edit: I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your encouragement yesterday! It did my heart good...thanks for the hug (Kim) and the words of inspiration from all of you! It really did help!!!!
Last night after I had JUST finally fallen into a good sleep...around 2 am Landon woke up screaming as though he was petrified. I ran in there as fast as I could to find him cuddled up crying. When I asked him what was wrong he told me that there was a green monster in his mouth trying to eat him. I assured him that it was not real and that it was just a dream and he went back to peaceful sleep.
This morning at the grocery store he randomly brought up the aforesaid green monster. He told me that the monster was growling and saying, "I am going to get you!" I could not beleive that he remembered his dream...and in such detail. Poor kid...I think it really scared him, although now he seems to want to talk about it all the time. Maybe we need to take a break from looking at the monsters at the grocery store  He is so fascinated by them!
Today I have eaten a piece of toast, an instant breakfast shake, and some left-over cold macaroni and cheese. Not too bad...now if only I would not have to eat for the rest of the day.
Landon woke me up this morning exclaiming that we had snow. It took everything within me to open the shades and look outside. Sure enough, traces of snow on the green grass, a porch with about an inch on it and snow falling heavily from the sky. Landon was so excited to play in it that after breakfast I put his coat and hat and gloves (no boots bc I dont have any that fit him) and let him go play in the 1 inch of snow on the deck. He had fun for about 5 minutes, then he knocked on the door and exasperatingly proclaimed, "I am too freezing cold!" To which I retorted, "My thoughts exactly!" I cannot believe that we are in the grasp of a snow storm. No, we won't get tons of snow, but the fact that it is 40 mile an hour winds and falling snow and temps in the low 30's is unbelivable in itself. I feel like I was JUST wearing capri's. I hope the winter goes as fast as the summer...then we will have our new baby!
Ok...need to lay down...enough energy exerted   Oh yeah...my sister-in-law's website per JKManbeck's request  www.amywenzel.com
