How interesting...
The ways in which the Lord works are just amazing...awe inspiring really. We just went on that trip with all of Jonathan's co-workers and both of us were burdened for them. Yesterday evening as the work day wore down Jonathan got the PERFECT opportunity to share the gospel with two of his closest co-workers. They started talking about computers which led to how computers differ from the human brain (they are programmers...go figure) which led to one of his friends bringing up evolution which brought on some very open-ended questions which laid the perfect ground for Jonathan to share. One of the guys actually asked this question, "If the Israelites used to have to kill animals and offer sacrifices, why when Jesus (an Isrealite) came did he not have to do that?" Ok, seriously what better, more clear chance to tell someone about Jesus the Savior, the Ultimate Sacrifice for our sins. Jonathan got home, albeit later than usual, but on top of the world. Neither made any formal acceptance, but neither did they heartily disagree. Jonathan got the impression that they are like many Americans...have some distant belief that a god exists and they are hoping that He will just accept everyone into Heaven one day. I am sure that they went home at least thinking about the things Jonathan shared, and even though they did not come to any life change last night...I bet some day when they are faced with a death in the family or an unexplainable loss, his words will come back to them. It was so refreshing to see such passion and excitement in Jonathan. Not too often does the perfect opportunity present itself such as it did yesterday. We praise the Lord that Jonathan was able to see that opporutnity and seize it.
On a completely, totally different note...we have been working very hard to come up with a name for this little baby bear who will make his appearance in three short months (AMEN!) ! We wanted to get your all's opinion on the top name of choice as of now....
