Perfect Weekend
Ok, so I did too much on Friday. I got a good talking to from my husband when he got home at 5. He came home early that day only to find me on the couch having the exact same contractions I had in Virginia. They were every two minutes for about an hour and a half. I was starting to get scared and have flashbacks to my nice stay in the hospital
, but thankfully they slowly fizzled out on their own. The rest of the night I felt fine. Thank you Jesus!

Saturday Jonathan painted the nursury until he ran out of paint. He only has one more coat to go on half of the room. Yeah! We like it, but don't love it...but it will do. He has worked so hard and long on this project. These things always take longer than you expect! While he did that I cleaned the house and Landon and I made cookies for dessert for after small group. Everyone came over around 6 and we had pizza and salad and fruit (yumm!). The kids played and played and played downstairs...until they all about dropped around 9 when it was time for them all to go. It was a very nice time.
Sunday we had a wonderful morning of worship. Then we had a nice family lunch together with the windows all wide open. After that we all went out side. It was the perfect day. Seriously. I just sat in the sun thinking how life could not get any better than that. Landon played himself silly, Jonathan got a ton of work done (oil changed, garage cleaned, lawn fertilized), and I got a bit of reading done for grad school and in the words of my husband, "Did absolutely nothing all day." My parents and little sister came over for dinner. Jonathan made chicken kabobs and grilled them to perfection. It was delicious! Then my mom and Landon played and my dad and Jonathan looked at Jon's car (it is having a few issues). The night culminated in cookies and coffee...a perfect end to a perfect weekend.
I was so excited about going outside today, but while it is pretty warm (probably 65) it is so windy that we both only lasted a short while. Blame it on living at the lakeshore...the weather man said it would be cooler here today and he was not kidding...20 minutes inland it is a good 75 degrees. Oh well...at least the house is open and the birds are chirping.
Landon randomly asked me this morning if the baby was going to crack my belly open and crawl out today. I think he has read one too many books about ducks hatching...but hey, at age three that explanation works for me
