A Week In Review 12-4-07

 Week In Review

Thankgiving 002paradeUnbelievable that I have not posted for a week. What in the world. Time is out of control...or perhaps it is that my nose is constantly in a book as I have less than two weeks left in this course (PRAISE THE LORD!!!) and one 4 page paper, one 20 page paper and a final exam to accomplish in that amount of time. Come December 16th I am going to feel like a free woman. Oh man it will be nice. I can only imagine...
So that book on spiritual bondage...ended up being very thought provoking. His points were well supported with Scripture, and although we interpret certain verses differently, I respect that he has so carefully researched his conclusions. The book definitely opened my eyes to a realm of possibility I had not previously thought much about, but I cannot say I agree with him on every point. I never did get any more comfortable reading...but I know it is necessary sometimes to do something uncomfortable for the sake of knowledge. Meaning...if we stay in the unknown because we are afraid, we will never grow and it doesn't make what is real any less real...it just makes us unknowledgeable. K, so enough of that.
parade1Last week was a big holiday week around here. Tuesday night I took Landon to the Parade of Lights downtown. It was too cold for Noah so just Landon and I went and my little sister, Brennigan, joined us along with two of her college friends. It was a VERY fun time...Landon loved it. Then on Thursday there was a model train show opening up an exhibit and offering free "train" rides on this adorable little train. The "train" took us from the exhibit to a little diner where the kids got to make their own wooden trains, do a coloring contest, and play games. Oh yeah...and every kid got his own conductor hat. Landon LOVED everything about this event...he is a huge train lover.
Saturday my mom and I went shopping all day. Jonathan kept the boys. I wish I could say it was fun, but it was extremely rushed. There was a snow storm coming by 5pm that evening...so my mom had to be on the road home to avoid it. Crazy, crazy day. But we did end up with snow and Landon played outside for a good two hours in it. He loved it...and can't wait for more!
Sunday was Christmas with my real dad and that side of the family. Landon got some Geotrax sets and his train set now looks like a city. It is awesome...and we have had a lot of fun playing with it together.
Ok, so there is my week in review. This week my book I am reading is on anxiety disorders. I know a lot about this topic, so I can kind of skim along, which is nice. The point of this class is to read about eight different theorists and kind of develop our own theory based upon what we do and do not agree with. Hence...the 20 page paper will be my own personal theory paper. I am really wondering how in the world I am going to write a 20 page paper with two kids...and study for a final exam, but like I always say...it all gets done somehow...and I can't wait until it is over!!!!
Wishing you all a happy Tuesday!!!!!!
