Did Ya Miss Me?
EDIT CONCERNING MARLA'S GET TOGETHER: Oh friends, you are making me feel so loved and you are making this decision that much harder!!!!!! I really really really really really want to come, but I am a little unsure of taking Noah in the car by myself for 5 hours AND then there is the issue of gas. I am just not sure yet. I really want to come....I really, really do. I will keep you all posted. I desperately want to officially "know" you all!!!I don't often do bullets, but this week has been absolutely insane. Abi...thanks for missing me, it made me feel loved and like it actually matters if I don't post for awhile
- Noah fell out of his crib this morning. Yep, you read correctly. I got out of the shower and immediately heard such a loud thump that it made me gasp. Next moment I heard screaming. Other than being scared out of his mind, he is thankfully ok. The crib went down to the lowest notch tonight. It made me very, very sad.
- Landon opened up my lingerie drawer (I got a ton of the stuff for bridal showers) earlier this week and said to me, "Mom, I really like these clothes that are too small for you!"
- I have a 20 page paper due on Sunday and I also had an exam this week. Hence my xanga lapse. Oh yes, and I had to finalize plane tickets to Maine for the wedding I am in May. That took forever bc prices are exorbitant and I wanted to exhaust every option. I bought my ticket tonight. Hooray.
- I have been talking to Liberty extensively this week, trying to finalize my last three classes. Due to scheduling issues (my internship can only be registered for three times a year), I either have to double up on classes from here until August and begin my internship on Aug 18, or I cannot start my internship until January. I do not like either option. And again, this all takes such an immense amount of time. Thankfully, my internship supervisor is willing to work with me and take me whenever. I am quite sure I am not going to double up for the entire summer. It would not be good for me, certainly not for my family, and I would totally miss the summer (which I absolutely love). I am waiting on one detail that may still make it possible for me to start my internship this fall, but at this point, it looks like it may be January. Oh well, I would get a two month break of absolutely no school. That would be nice.
My sister in law had her baby girl on Tuesday morning. Natalie Marie weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces. I cannot wait to meet her sometime hopefully this summer.
- Noah has begun to "yell" at Landon when Landon has something Noah wants or is doing something that Noah does not like. I don't really like it. Bring on the sibling issues. Here they come.
- Gotta love Noah in his puffer vest. I love little girls in striped tights with little skirts on, but since I don't have any girlies, this is my male version of cuteness. A puffer vest, striped hoodie and cute little Target shoes. It certainly helps that his chubby cheeks are so cute you want to incessantly kiss them
.
- And finally, a picture of Noah with my dear grandma. We got to spend Easter with her and my grandpa. She told us stories and made us laugh just like she always does. I love her so.
- Oh yeah...I promised to answer your questions. Ok, ummm...Jamie asked what three things I would grab if there were a fire in my house (aside from my children). Wow. This is a hard one, especially for the current condition of my brain. I would grab Noah's lovey....a little green soft blanket type thing that he cannot seem to live without when it comes to bed time. Landon was never attached to a security object. Noah LOVES his lovey and I am not sure he would survive without the joy it brings to his little heart
. I think I would also grab my journals. They link me to where I have been and what has always been important to me. And...perhaps my wedding album. I am quite sure I will never have to money to replace the pictures and the memories that those pictures depict are priceless.
- Sorry friends, my brain is fried. I don't think I can type another coherent thought. Happy evening to all and to all a goodnight.
