Good Old Xanga 9-27-08

xangaWow. We went. We partied. We came home full and happy. I have to admit, about two hours into the trip (when I realized we wouldnt' be getting to the xanga get-together until at least 2...turned out to be almost 3), we really considered turning around. Seriously now...who travels 5 hours only to get out of the car for three or four, and then get back into the car to go 5 more straight back where you came from. We were a little insane, but I have to say that it was all SO worth it. I am still amazed, and I don't feel like I can adequately explain how this can be true...but being with those lovely ladies even for three hours was so fulfilling and refreshing that the drive was a drop in the bucket. Every one of you were just as beautiful as I knew you to be through the computer. I never thought that I would be a blogger...but I am. I have this whole support system on this computer...and meeting you girls in the flesh this weekend was an experience that I would not trade for anything.

The drive really wasn't so bad. Jennikim (she has a cute slide show of out time together on her site!) and I went together (along with her 4 month old baby girl...who did awesome by the way). The drive down was sunny and gorgeous and the ride back was dark and tiring...but everytime I got too tired to stay awake, something would happen. Either we would realize we had missed our exit onto the next highway by 20 miles, or she would say something so absolutely hilarious that I would start crying with laughter...just enough to wake me up. I really don't think I could have done the drive alone in one day...it was just too tiring...but she made it enjoyable and fun. We had a great time!

My words really feel inadequate for how much I appreciate the relationships that I have built with you women these past 2.5 years. There is depth and honesty and encouragement and sharpening and a comraderie that I just cannot put into words. I so enjoyed bridging the wifi gap this weekend with so many of you...and I look forward to doing it with the rest of you at some point in our lives (hopefully!).
