Fun Timesv5-24-08

This has gotta be quick. My mind is swirling in a million different directions. Lets see...

Tonight, Marla and Jamie along with their kids are all coming to see me! I am so so so excited. They are staying through Monday morning, so we have a fun-filled weekend ahead of us! The weather is supposed to be gorgeous (finally!) so I am thinking parks, the beach, ice cream shops, and maybe a campfire. I really am excited to see these girls (and their children!) and am honored that they are coming all of this way. Wow! I am just really, really excited!

They leave Monday morning and I fly out to Maine on Tuesday evening. I am in a wedding next week (I blogged about it sometime ago). The bride was my maid of honor and one of my very best friends in college. She is beautiful and wonderful and I am thrilled to get to see her again (finally!) and filled with joy to get to be part of her special day, and the rest of her life. I also get to see a few other friends from college that I have not seen since college...so it will be super fun. I leave Tuesday night, and get back sometime on Sat. It is going to be BUSY, but so fun.

The week I get back from Maine I have my killer mid-term. My mind is already swirling with information. I can't think beyond this...as my mind is filled to capacity with this weekend, Maine, leaving my kids for five days, and school. But if I could think beyond my midterm I would see that I have a 25 page research paper due the next week. Someone...please send me a personal nanny.

Brenn has been living here for three weeks...on and off. She has been going home on the weekends. It has been great having her here. Earlier this week we were at the grocery store together and she saw her HEART THROB. Oh be still her heart. I took off to get bread so that she could talk to him for awhile (he was pretty darn cute). Well...bread was on a huge sale...buy one get one loaf free. Couldn't pass that up. I grabbed 8 loaves. As I was walking back to Brenn people kept staring at me. When I got to the cart, the first thing her guy friend said was, "You have a lot of bread!" So, Brenn will always be known as the Bread Lady's sister It was funny....maybe you had to be there.

Noah had his one year check up this week. He weighs 23 pounds (only the 55%). Landon hung out around the 25%, so Noah seems huge to me. I thought he would be higher on the percentiles...but I think I am just not used to big kids. Although...he is slimming down considerably since he started sprinting around the house. Due to insurance issues, he is not getting any shots until 15 months. But she did send him for two blood tests. Still waiting on those results. It will be nice to get good results and have the nagging worry that is hanging out in the back of my brain relieved.

And I am out. I have a house to clean, tons of grad school to do and not much time left. Jamie and Marla will probably be here around 9ish. If you think of it, please pray for safe travels for them... Thanks friends!!!
