Great Wolf Lodge 3-21-08

Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf 009So we are back from the Great Wolf Lodge in Great Wolf 024Traverse City. There are a few of these places Great Wolf 030throughout the USA, and I had never been before. After EICRAM gave me that amazing promo code I finally had the opportunity to go. I KNEW Landon would absolutely love it, and indeed he did. It is a resort geared towards children with a huge, and I do mean huge, waterpark inside of it. Five giant water slides, tube slides, body slides, a huge fort complete with ropes and tunnels, a lazy river, a huge snake and lily pads for the kids to jump across. Landon absolutely loved it. Noah was a bit petrified, to say the least, so he didn't really partake, but got lots of cuddles. I got to have lots of alone time with Landon though which hasn't happened in forever, so I treasured it...and I cherished the fun he was having. His attitude was beautiful the entire time and the trip really could not have gone any more smoothly. The only sad thing was that we could have really used one more night, and I knew I would feel that way. I recommend if you go...get two nights. But even one is more than worth it. It was awesome.

Great Wolf 006But now I am home and behind in grad school and have a messy house and Easter on Sunday and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Oh well. Again, it was totally worth it. Oh yeah. I helped in Landon's class Wednesday morning. My bird nest snack turned out well, and it was a lot of fun. I enjoy getting to know his preschool friends and to see his routine at school.

Ok, back to the questions. Abi asked what store I would buy clothes from if money was not an issue. Man, to be honest my wardrobe is very collegish. I have not hardly bought anything since I graduated. Isn't that sad!!! But if I could...I really like J. Crew and Old Navy, oh yes, and Anne Taylor. I like her clothes for more dressy occasions (which I currently never have ). American Eagle has a few cute springy shirts I saw the other day (I know...it is a bit of a teeny bopper store, but their spring stuff is cute from what I could see when I ran in there the other day with a friend!).

Karee asked what my all time favorite snack is. I can't choose one. At night, I often have a bowl of cereal before bed. I love cereal. Almost any kind. In the summer I absolutely cannot get enough strawberry shortcake made with MI strawberries....yumm!! I also LOVE all things chocolate. Outback has a desert called Sidney's Sinful Sunday which has hot fudge over icecream with a few strawberries and whip cream...and the ice cream is coated in toasted coconut. WOW. Good. I am not much of a salt person...chips, cheetos, crackers...I don't have to have them. But chocolate and anything strawberry I typically can't get enough of.

I can't remember the next question, but I believe Tonya asked how I met Jonathan, so I will do that one next. One day in chapel I was sitting with one of my unit mates, and I saw Jon a few rows ahead. I thought he was cute. I noticed he was sitting with one of my friends, so later that day I casually asked her who he was. That is so not my nature. I was very not into guys at this point in my life...in fact I didn't like the male species much at all (this is an entirely different story for another time!). Anyway, the exact same day that I asked my friend who Jon was, he had happened to see me walking down the sidewalk with her and later asked her who I was. My friend was also a unit mate of mine and we were planning a unit pick-a-date (where your friends pick your date), so since we had both asked about eachother on the exact same day, she chose him for my pick-a-date and the rest is history. We really hit it off at the pick-a-date, in fact my friends still make fun of me for the fact that he and I never shut up the entire time. We went on a real date a few weeks later and viola.

Ok, so maybe the next post I can finish up these questions. Let me know if there are any you would like to add. I have to say that at the moment we are under a winter storm warning and it is violently snowing out. Good thing I was on vacation yesterday or I might just pack up and move...today. Yuck.
