My Little Walker 3-31-08

NoahandmeAlright, it is official. Noah is walking more than he is crawling. The pitter patter of his little feet on the wood floor is a new sound to me, and it is so precious. I can now tell which way he is going because I can hear those little feet as they move across the floor. He holds his arms up close to his head and wobbles around the house. He kind of looks like a really old man who needs a cane. And boy is he clumsy. The kid needs a helmet. In the past week he has hit his head more than I think Landon ever has in his entire four years of living. Noah has a bruise on each cheek (didn't know cheeks could bruise, did you?), one on the top right side of his head, and one in the middle of his forehead. And his calves look like he has been through a war. I am hoping this clumsy stage will end soon. He is certainly getting more steady on his feet, but it doesn't take much for him to topple over and somehow a wall or corner or toy always seems to be there to catch him at just the right spot. Poor kid.

April is insanely busy. But fun. Spring is on the way...I just know it. I have not worked everything out yet regarding my grad school schedule, but I just want to say that I am not a lover of misery. I certainly do not want to double up on classes just for the sake of accomplishment. Truly, I am just so tired of the constant nagging stress of school that I want it behind me. I want to be done. But, we are definitely leaning towards taking the slow route, which will entail a nice two month break at the end of the year. The process just seems endless and I long to not have the nagging stress of exams and papers constantly ringing in my ears. Oh well...if I can just make it to the internship, the stress will drop off significantly. That will be nice. I turned in a 20 page paper yesterday and that felt wonderful. Now I am on to my next project that is due in two weeks. One bite at a time.

Ball1BallIf you all want me to come to Marla's get together you need to go here: http://www.xanga.com/DaughterofTheKing10 and beg my sister to come with me. Tell her she won't feel out of place and will have a ton of fun! If she comes with me, I will do it. If she won't, well I am a little too unsure of taking two kids in the car by myself for a little over 5 hours. Beg. She is gonna just love me for this.

Speaking of Brenn, she came over Friday night to watch a movie with us, and before the movie we had a little fun with our big exercise ball (which never gets any use aside from being a toy). The pictures tell it all.

My curl is coming back now that Noah is only eating 4 times a day. I wore my hair curly today for the first time since July. Not sure this is great...Jonathan loves my hair straight and I think it is more trendy straight. But natural curl is characteristic and I like that. Oh well. Curly hair is mine unless and/or until I have another baby Somedays I may straighten it, but seriously...who really has the time for that with two small kids running around. NOT ME!

To end, Landon asked me this morning, "Mom, will you yell at me if I accidently drop a cushion on Noah? I mean, if I don't do it on purpose, and it just happens?" Sounds a bit premeditated...wouldn't you agree?
