Noah's Room and My Adorable Niece and Nephew
I thought it was finally time to let you all see Noah's nursery. It has certainly been a work in progress! We painted it last spring (I remember blogging about that as though it were yesterday!) and for the first five months of his life he lived in a yellow room with nothing on the walls. I know...second baby things go very different than the first...with the first the nursery is completely decorated at least three months BEFORE the baby even arrives!
Anyway...The sailboat quilt and bumper were Landon's and are still in great condition. Then I found these adorable animal wallies that I put along the top of his wall and three adorable wooden animal wall plaques. It is simple, but I love it. And I hardly spent any money at all. I am currently bidding on a pair of window valences on ebay for 99 cents...that would be the perfect completion to his room. So there ya have it....his nursery!
Ok, so Noah has figured out that he can "run" from us in an attempt to get what he wants. He is pretty good about not doing things or touching things when we say no, but there is one decoration that he just can't seem to resist. My in-laws were here this weekend and I saw him grabbing at the decoration so I said, "Noah, No No!" What did he do...he grabbed it, got down on all fours and crawled away from my mother--in-law as fast as his little legs would carry him. We laughed hysterically. Since then, he is doing it all of the time. I tell him no, he takes off. It won't be funny when he starts walking...but the concept of him crawling away as fast as he can with his prize is currently very cute, albeit naughty
We got pounded with snow this weekend. We probably have a good 18 inches of it. Landon is currently outside playing and having the time of his life. We were supposed to go to the aquatic center today but the roads are too bad. Oh well, we could use the time at home. Life has been quite busy.
Finally, I want to leave you with a few pictures of my niece and nephew. Baby K was born in August when we down south. I got to see her again in October when I was down there for Jen's baby shower. She has changed so much since then and I miss her dearly. Now that we all have kids it is so difficult to be this far apart. So anyway, she is bordering on 6 months already (how is that possible!?!?!?) and I may be a tad biased, but I think she is one of the cutest little girls to ever live.
Jen, had her little guy on December 23. Again, we are forever away so I am not sure when I will actually get to hold this little guy, so for now I am living through whatever pictures come my way. I have to say that he is one of the most beautiful newborns I have ever seen. He is perfect...and from what I hear, a pretty laid back baby (a good way to start for your first one!) I absolutely cannot wait to all be together again with our children...how fun will that be!?!?!
Well, Noah is down for his morning nap and Landon is outside...so I am going to be a good steward of this time and do a little school work. Hope you all have a wonderful mid-week!
