Way Behind on Life

Kelly's Visit 050Kelly's Visit 088I had a dream week with my sister. Really. I could not have scripted it any better. The kids all took naps at the same time almost every day, so we had two hours a day all to ourselves...(EDIT...for the sake of proper grammer and so you don't all think that we left the kids alone while they napped. ) we had real adult conversation! During her stay, we went walking, ate at a little cafe downtown, ate dinner at the park twice, laid in the sun, had perfect weather, played outside, had an 80th b-day party for my grandpa, met my parents for ice cream, shopped at the outlets, had a picture session with Amy, and enjoyed lots and lots of snacks. The kids were awesome...Katelyn did amazing. She was never phased by anything...they all just kind of went with the flow. The week was beautiful...

Kelly's Visit 003Kelly's Visit 061But now the house is really quiet and kind of sad. Landon keeps saying he misses Katelyn which makes me even more sad. He wants to play Go-Fish with Kelly and last night wanted her to read his story (he got used to her reading him Berenstein Bear books). I am so glad that he loved them so much. I feel like he will never forget the time we got to spend with them and I feel like him and his aunt have an actual bond now. I love it.

Kelly's Visit 037I not only took the week off of xanga, but I also did very little grad school. I had prepped as much as I could, but I now find myself wayyyy behind. Now through Sunday I have a 10 page paper, a test, and another assignment. Yuck. I am so not in this mode. Oh well...more on grad school later. They messed something up and are about to make my life insane...but, again, more on that later.

I leave you with some pictures of my time with Kelly. Family truly is wonderful. They know where you have been...who you are. You can share funny stories and inside jokes that only the two of you knew about way back when. I had such a wonderful week...
