Snow Day
I have been meaning to post this picture for awhile. Last week we were hit over and over and over again with lake effect snow, totally nearly three feet of snow. This picture is my back deck, and yes, Landon and did go out and dive into it immediately after taking this picture. We had great fun, but the snow was so high that I was afraid he was going to fall over the rails of the deck, so we dove in and out of the snow for awhile and then made our way down the deck stairs (on our butts) and into the huge snow piles the plow had made at the end of the road. The snow lasted about a week. The last two days it was almost 50 degrees and the snow was just about gone, and then today is -15 degrees with the windchill (not even kidding you). We have a ton more snow and blowing and drifting. Everything is closed, including Landon's school (which he was very sad about bc he wanted pajama day today!).
My mom came to watch the kids yesterday so I could work on grad school. It felt so good to go sit at Panera and then the library and study...the land of the living. I loved to listen in to conversations and sip my coffee whie imagining what the people did for a living. Some people are so amazingly annoying, and others so extremely interesting
I met with Amy all day Monday trying to decide how to decorate my house with pictures. I am so excited about everything we chose. I am doing one wall in canvas prints...oh man, I am going to LOVE it. But I have to wait to order those until I get some birthday money. The rest should be on order here pretty quickly.
I was just getting Landon ready to go play outside and I covered his mouth with his scarf bc it is so cold. He told me that he needed his mouth to talk to his imaginary friend, Sam. I asked him what Sam looked like, and he told me that he looked just like me. Isn't that cute My imaginary friend was named Teko, and was a mix between a mouse and a monkey. Imaginations...they are great huh?
Well, my little guy I watch on Wednesdays will be here any moment. Off to the chaos that will shortly ensue
